What to Expect Next Season

After this exciting past season, we can only look forward to what next season has in store for us. There is already lots of talk about this upcoming season including:

Lakers planning to sign Lou Williams and Brandon Bass, Jackson getting $80 mil from the pistons, Hammon’s “big opportunity”, and much more.

Let me give a quick shout out to one of my affiliates at www.uplandlimousine.com. They will be offering deals to season ticket holders at Staples Stadium. If you need a ride to your games they will offer a stylish and affordable ride to and from the game. You do not need to use them, but I do get a small commission if you do book a limo through me. So if you are planning on using a limo, I’d really appreciate the help.

Anyways, onto the important topic of basketball. Lets start with the Lakers. It is looking like the Lakers might finally be back in the game. They are planning to sign point guard Lou Williams as well as Brandon Bass, a forward. They also drafted the number 2 pick D’Angelo Russell (view more on this here).  Continue reading What to Expect Next Season

A Bit About Me

While waiting for more information to come out on the upcoming season, I thought this would be a good time to tell you a bit about myself. I do have my bio page here. But I will go into a bit more detail in this post.

So as you probably read, I am a huge basketball fan. I have been playing with my old man and brothers since I was 2 years old. As I grew up I got better and started playing competitively. It was such a an incredible experience, and something I will always remember about my life. I feel like I am at home when I am on the court.

My first game I went to was a Lakers vs Celtics game when I was 8 years old. My coach at the time, Dave from exquisitepondsandgardens.org, took myself and a few other kids with him to go see the game. I remember how big the players looked in person. I felt like an ant among titans.

2015 NBA Draft Results

I wanted to wait a few days from my last post for the draft to officially happen. Now I can write at least two articles on it. I plan to do this one, a result, and at least one more, which will be a review. If you want to catch up on this past season you can view my article here.

Unlike the NFL the NBA has a lottery system that picks their draft spots. This ensures that teams that are not doing so hot do not purposely throw their games to get a better position in the draft.

If you want to see the full draft check out the official site here:

2014-2015 Summary

It has been a year of Stephen Curry (MVP), Andrew Wiggins (Rookie of the Year), Russell Westbrook (PPG Leader), DeAndre Jordan (RPG Leader), Chris Paul (APG Leader), and James Harden (WS Leader). After a long six games the Golden State Warriors finally took home the NBA Championship title for 2015. Stephen Curry is the MPV for a reason. Chef Curry took his team to the top and they dominated nearly every match.

Let’s jump straight into playoffs where things started getting really interesting. Starting with the West Coast, the New Orleans Pelicans in the #8 spot faced off the #1 team in the league, the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors swept the Pelicans in only four games and advanced on to the next round.

The #4 spot the Portland Trail Blazers played against #5 spot, the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies finished the Trail Blazers 4-1 in just five quick games. They advanced on to play against the Golden State Warriors in the next round.

The #6 spot, the San Antonio Spurs took the #3 spot, the Los Angeles Clippers, to a nail-biting seven games. On game seven however the Clippers won by merely 2 points! They advanced to the next round to play against Houston.

Finally the #2 spot, the Houston Rockets played against the #7 spot, the Dallas Mavericks. After five games the Rockets take it to the next round. They are to play against the LA Clippers.

Basketball Site

Hello there. Welcome to my new site! Let me start off by introducing myself. I am Jordan White. I decided about a week ago that I wanted to make a basketball blogging site; so here I am. Unfortunately, the 2014-2015 season has just come to an incredible conclusion. It was a great season; probably one of the more intense seasons in my opinion and that lead me to this. I has been quite the effort to get this baby up and running and surprisingly, it is a lot harder than I thought it would be. So I ask that you just bare with me while I work out all the kinks and get used to how to work this site.

So, as assumed I am going to be covering basketball; specifically subjects relating to the NBA. Now the 2014-2015 season did just end, and in my first few posts I will be doing a recap and covering the aftermath. Then I will get into what we can expect to see next season. And finally I will be covering next season as well. So stay tuned. I will try and get these posts up as frequently as I can. I will continue to do extensive research so that I will always stay sharp on each subject.
